The Lord of the Rings Costumes!

As you'll remember, we did a pretty big family costume last year. And I kind of swore I wasn't going to do another one.  I like to sew up big family costumes about every three years, not every year.  But then I realized my two big boys would be home, and we'd better live it up as a full family and get in the holiday fun!

And it was a lot of fun!

I'll be sharing how I made these costumes next week.

Everybody had fun getting in on the action.

It took a little convincing to get our youngest to agree to be Frodo.  But once she realized He was the star of the show, she was on board.

Cast of Characters:

Frodo, Gimli, Arwen, and Samwise Gamgee

Legolas, Aragorn, Galadriel, and Gandalf the Grey.

The kids all thought Gandalf looked pretty cool walking around.  Look at that shadow!

"In place of a Dark Lord you will set up a Queen! Not dark but beautiful and terrible as the Dawn! ... All shall love me and despair!"

I spy Gollum.

Where'd Frodo go?
