Roy Lichtenstein

I'm teaching art again this year at Camp K to individuals with cognitive disabilities.

Last week I taught about Roy Lichtenstein.

You know this guy?

 

Well last week after I taught the class a little about the artist and what the primary colors were, we created our own version of his artwork, "Girl with Hair Ribbon".


Here's my painting.


First we drew our lady in pencil.  Then we outlined her in black marker.  Then using the primary colors we painted our gal.  For the face we used the opposite end of our paint brushes to add our red dots.

This one turned out really awesome, though he didn't have time to finish.

Tonight we're learning about van Gogh-- always a favorite.
